Lengths and what they suit

Choker (around 14 to 16 inches): sits close to the neck. Suits open necklines such as boat necks, off-shoulder and sweetheart styles. A popular reception choice.
Princess (around 17 to 19 inches): sits at or just below the collarbone. The most versatile length, suitable for most necklines and occasions.
Matinee (around 20 to 24 inches): falls to the upper chest. Suits higher necklines and pairs well with pendants.

Settings: prong, bezel, pavé

Pavé settings: many small diamonds set closely together, creating a continuous surface of sparkle.
Channel settings: diamonds set in a row between two metal walls, secure and sleek.
Cluster settings: several small diamonds grouped to look like a larger stone.

Necklace sets vs single pieces
