Buying jewellery is an act of trust. You are paying for purity you cannot see and stones you cannot test yourself. At Tibarumal & Sons Jewellers, Shaikpet, we have earned that trust from Hyderabad families since 1920, and this page sets out, in plain language, what you can expect from us.

BIS hallmarking on gold

Our gold jewellery carries the BIS hallmark, which includes the BIS standard mark, the purity grade (for example 22K916) and a unique six-digit HUID.

You do not have to take our word for it. Before you pay, we will show you the hallmark and HUID on your piece, and you can verify it yourself on the BIS Care app from the Bureau of Indian Standards. Read How to Buy Gold Jewellery in India (2026) to learn how.

Diamond and gemstone certification

If a piece does not come with a certificate, we will say so clearly, and explain how its stones have been assessed.

Transparent billing

Every invoice is itemised, so you can see exactly what you are paying for:

• the gold rate and purity,
• the net gold weight, separate from any stones,
• making charges,
• stone details and charges,
• GST,
• and the HUID of each gold item.

Buyback and exchange

Jewellery is often exchanged or remade as families grow and tastes change. Our exchange and buyback terms depend on the type of piece, particularly whether it is plain gold or set with stones.

A piece from Tibarumal & Sons stays part of our relationship with you. We help with:

• cleaning and polishing, to keep pieces looking their best,
• repairs, from loose stones to broken clasps,
• resizing of rings and bangles,
• remaking older pieces into new designs.
